More Changes

I just had to keep working on this painting because it needed to be more of what I had in mind when I started. In taking a small light dark pattern from a realistic view and using that as the basis for a much larger non representational painting with a different color palette I seem to have gotten into multiple challenges. Here is my stopping point on the 14th.

After looking at it on and off for a week, today (the 20th) I made further changes.

This has more of the push pull effect (the whole picture plane is not just shallow space). It may need more but smaller changes as I push it towards a stopping point that will please me.
The challenge of this color scheme and removing the "things" made me push the painting farther and is teaching me a lot.
I'm happier with the painting now but still not ready to stop.
