Optimisim

I woke up today with a renewed sense of optimism as a result of the election. As a boomer and coming of age during the Vietnam War. though lucky enough not to have had to serve in the military, I am gratified that Obama seems to have left that divisive era's issues and worn ideas behind.
As some one who tries to create art,specifically paintings, I believe all who practice this type of work must be optimistic by nature. If we did not think that we could do better each day and begin to solve or resolve our particular questions why would we go to our studios? I think the positive outlook of most Americans on this day, regardless of how they voted, is a result of the fact that in our great country that dream of 'only in America' has manifested.
