How I Spent My Weekend

I am painting away  in the back of my booth at the Silverton Art Festival last  Saturday. Photo taken by Hank Keeton
It was the first 90 degree day in 13 months here in western Oregon, and had time to but on another lay or two in this painting. Silverton is a good location in the park cooler under the firs and always good music wafting from the stage.
Thanks for looking

Complementary Colors

Together Apart, 36x36 Acrylic on Canvas by Bruce Ulrich
Thia painting seems like the start of a new series about pairs of objects thought of as together yet are actually apart or alone in reality, the universal delusion of separation. I have the bonus of exploring color complements to develop the theme.
Thanks for looking and have great day.

This Weekend

Since the last post I've been to Bend for Art in the High Desert a well run show where I met many good artists. This weekend is the West Linn Art Festival on Saturday and Sunday. I will also be at the Allison for there grand opening form 3 to 7. This is the new inn and spa in Newberg for visiting the Oregon wine country. They purchased all original art from Oregon artists and I was fortunate to have eight of my paintings selected for their collection. So I will be running between venues on Saturday and ending my day in Newberg.
Here is an updated image of one of the newer paintings.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you think of the painting.
