Sunrise Willamette Valley by Bruce Ulrich 2010


                                                        
This painting will be in the Watercolor Society of Oregon spring show opening in Gold Beach this Saturday, April 10.  I have a 25% chance of receiving an award since  20 of the 80 selected paintings are so honored. If i remember rightlly there were over 350 paintings submitted to the juror. Here is how I framed the painting as a vertical 24x20.

I liked the black background since the mat had to be white or off white for this show..
This is the way I present most of the painting I have done on paper that are square. It is easier for people to find standard size rectangular frames for the matted work I offer at art shows.

I started this post in the middle of last  week and my HP laptop developed the blue screen of death; trying, not yet successfully, to solve this issue has taken up much of my computing time.
I was able to remove my documents and I am waiting on restore disks for  the company.

The Watercolor Society of Oregon Spring show opened on Saturday in Gold Beach Oregon and alas I heard from a friend that this painting was not among the 20 awarded works.
It is still good to be chosen for the show by the juror Stephen Quiller.
