Catching Up

I had a fair week in spite of a slight head cold and my failure to get something in this spot twice in one week. On Sunday I spent several hours in Whelchs at Wy'east Bookshop & Gallery painting on several canvases to demonstrate some hows and whys of my approach to painting.
It was a fine day and I enjoyed talking to several women who watched the paintings be worked on. More folks stopped in about the time Sandy, the owner, set out a wonderful appetizer tray.
what could be better that art and conversation followed by food, wine and conversation. Thank you Sandy for all your efforts in promoting and presenting the Arts for the folks on Mount Hood. Unfortunately like an idiot I forgot to get pictures at the event. I can show you the canvases I prepared. I spread sub-floor leveling compound mixed with Quikrete acrylic bonding adhesive in a similar design on several sizes of canvas.

Here are three that I worked on at the mountain and did more today in the studio.
Beneath, a final version (I hope). 18x18

For now its called Blues v5. 18x18

Lastly a smaller version on the theme.

Blue top 6x6

Once again thank you for looking and reading, and remember comments are always welcome
